A River Runs Through It
This piece was commissioned for clients who are avid mountain bikers. The table is named after a MTB trail I rode at Whistler, B.C. and refers to the sprockets and chains that run through the table's concrete and walnut surfaces. To give the table some depth, walnut was removed from the center of one of the sprockets so that viewers can see through the table to the floor. A "spider" from the cassette body was placed in the opening to keep my client's salt shakers and shot glasses from falling through to the floor.
