DREAMWEAVER
This piece was a commission for a couple who live in southern New Mexico and wanted a small table for an outdoor sitting area. Maize (corn), my clients love of biking and southwestern colors were the inspiration for Dreamweaver. The base was inspired by an the old corn crib that my Grandfather built on his farm. It is made of 1/8 inch steel rod woven through vertical steel rods. The top is concrete and reflects some of the colors found in the southwestern desert. A light is hung on the underside of the round steel cover and casts off a brilliant display of light that guides people to the sitting area at night.
